The Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA) ensures that COVID-19 testing is available at no cost to you, including the uninsured. You will not be charged a copay. Under the FFCRA, plans and issuers must provide this coverage without imposing any cost-sharing requirements (including deductibles, copayments, and coinsurance), prior authorization, or other medical management requirements.

Emergency Use Authorization

The SARS-CoV-2 Assay is authorized by the FDA under the Emergency Medical Use Authorization (EUA). The EUA for this test is supported by the Secretary of Health and Human Service’s declaration that circumstances exist to justify the emergency use of in vitro diagnostics for the detection and/or diagnosis of the virus that causes COVID-19. This EUA will remain in effect for the duration of the COVID-19 declaration.

If you were exposed to Covid-19 it could take a few days before you produce a positive Covid-19 test result. It can take up to 14-days before any symptoms of Covid-19 show up. Most cases result in recovery within 5-Days. More serious cases of Covid-19, and instances requiring hospitalization are usually resolved by 25-days resulting in either recovery or death. At greatest risk are people over 65 years old, and people with pre-existing health conditions.
